Frequently asked questions

Hunting Guides questions, answered

Real answers from a local Duck hunting guides crew — no fluff, no upsell.

What do I need to bring?

Your gun, license/stamps, steel shot for waterfowl, and warm layers/waders. We send a full gear list when you book.

Do you provide blinds, decoys, and calling?

Yes — blinds or layout boats, decoys, calling, and retrieval are all included.

Can you take a single hunter?

Most dates have a two-gunner minimum but we can pair singles.

Do you hunt legal hours and limits?

Always. No skybusting, no over-limits, no pushing the rules.

What areas do you hunt?

Duck, Corolla, Manteo, and the Dare County mainland — marshes, impoundments, and maritime-forest stands.

How far ahead should I book?

Rut dates and peak waterfowl weeks fill early. Reserve as soon as you know your dates.

Still have a question?

The fastest answer is a quick phone call. We’re happy to talk through your situation at no charge.
